We live on a rural block about 70kms south of Darwin and at different times of the year the cicadas are so loud they are almost deafening. Well, maybe that’s a slight exaggeration but my point is that they really do get very loud. They have the most incredible wings—which is coincidentally how they make their sounds—and is the inspiration behind this design.

Dimensions: 23mm(w) x 70mm(h) with a hanging length of approximately 95mm (includes the length of the ear wire).

Made from hand painted, lightweight acrylic with niobium hypoallergenic earwires.

Note that the colour will look different in real life. I’ve tried reeeallly hard to try and get the colours looking similar but due to how cameras, monitors and screens process and display colour it is really hard to get them accurate.
